- Substitute Teachers
The School of Arts and Sciences at The Centre is seeking applications for full-time Associate Teacher to work with a Lead Teacher in a 4th/5th grade multi-aged classroom of approximately 25 students. Applicants should be able to:
-Support the delivery of rigorous, teacher created, hands-on lessons to the whole class, small groups, and one-on-one.
-Support the creation and management of a physically and emotionally safe classroom
-Support assessment practices for a diverse group of students that reflect current Florida Standards and the principles of our Charter
-Work collaboratively with a diverse group of school colleagues, parents, community members and others to support and implement the goals of the school
REQUIREMENTS
Familiarity with the Florida Standards
Familiarity with the Key Components of the SAS Charter (view school website)
PREFERRED
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
Current Florida Teaching Certificate (Primary and/or Elementary)
Experience teaching elementary-aged students
Strong Classroom Management
Conscious Discipline Training
Reading endorsement
Experience with the MTSS/RTI process

– Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the efficiency of the program
REQUIREMENTS
Experience working with children
High School Diploma or equivalent

Previous experience in childcare, summer camps, or educational environments
